TRG uses Websites and Mobile Applications to provide you with information about our communities, buildings, brand, products and services. Any information, customer service or any related services provided to you through the Website or Mobile Application are referred to in this Privacy Policy as the “TRG Products and Services”. We are committed to the protection of your privacy. To help us meet this commitment to you, we have created this privacy policy as may be amended from time to time (the “Privacy Policy”).

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, the term “Website” means downtownmarkham.ca and all its related property webpages and websites (including without limitation any mobile optimized website).  This Privacy Policy does not apply to any third party websites or mobile applications even if such third party websites or mobile applications are linked to from the Website or used in association with TRG Products and Services.

This Privacy Policy describes how TRG collects, protects, uses and discloses Personal Information that is collected by TRG or provided by you as you use the Websites and the TRG Products and Services. To take advantage of some of the features of the Website you may have to provide us with your Personal Information.

The Website contain links to third party websites and mobile applications (the “Linked Sites”) that are not controlled or operated by TRG. This Privacy Policy does not apply to any of the Linked Sites and TRG is not responsible for any Personal Information disclosed by virtue of those Linked Sites or for the privacy practices of any operators or sponsors of the Linked Sites. To determine how Personal Information will be treated when accessing or using the Linked Sites, you must read the privacy policy, if any, that applies to each of the Linked Sites.

We may partner with third party vendors to facilitate their provision of products and services to you. This Privacy Policy only applies to the Personal Information that TRG collects and uses, or is supplied, through the operation of the Websites and TRG Products and Services. TRG collects Personal Information from Website visitors only on a voluntary basis. Your Personal Information is collected in connection with your access and use of the Website such as if you create an account, submit a request or question through our Website, email a request for information from us, send us your curriculum vitae or your personal references.

We will use the Personal Information received through the Website for the various purposes outlined above under “Collection of Information”. INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY

When you visit the Website, some information (i.e. the site from which you linked, your Internet Service Provider, the time and date of your visit, your device ID) may be collected automatically by the software that operates our Website. This information is used by our technical engineers to compile aggregate statistics about the total number of daily visitors to our Website, the pages and features most frequently visited and used, and how long people stay at each page. None of the information that we report includes personal identification.

You can help TRG maintain the accuracy of your Personal Information by notifying TRG of any changes to such information. You are responsible for ensuring that all information created through your use of the Website and TRG Products and Services is accurate, reliable and complete.

The Website is intended for general audiences but is not to be used by individuals under 18 years old (“minors”). We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with Personal Information without parental consent, we take steps to remove such information from our files.

GOVERNING LAW

Those who choose to access the Website from outside Canada do so on their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws, if and to the extent local laws are applicable.
