Toy Mountain returns to Downtown Markham

On Tuesday, December 14, CTV News will be broadcasting live once again from the Pride of Canada Carousel as Toy Mountain, benefitting the Salvation Army, returns to Downtown Markham.

Please join us and help us to build a Toy Mountain, with donations of unwrapped toys for children and families in need. And please don’t forget Tweens, teens and babies while selecting your gifts. For Tweens and teens, items like curling irons, digital music players, hair dryers, hair kits, makeup kits, jewelry, electronics, books, hoodies, sporting goods, backpacks, school supplies, board games, scarves, gloves and gift cards are most welcomed!

We will be accepting donations on Tuesday, between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. with free carousel rides. Our celebration will look a little different this year, but your help is needed now more than ever. Our skating rink will be open, *weather permitting.

If you’re unable to come by Tuesday, donations can also be dropped off during Carousel operating hours until Sunday, Dec. 19. The carousel is open Saturdays and Sunday between 12 noon and 5 p.m. Please note we will begin daily operating hours during the Christmas school break, from Saturday, December 18 through Sunday, January 2.
