Downtown Markham is the place to be to celebrate our country’s 152nd birthday all Canada Day Weekend long.
On Saturday June 29, Origin Square at 169 Enterprise Blvd will come alive with music starting at 2 pm with a Youth Showcase Concert, featuring young, local musicians eager to perform for a live audience in a professional production setting.
That’s followed by three sets by the Markham-based six-piece band Something Free, playing a familiar and eclectic assortment of music spanning from today’s hits to notable songs from the 70s and 80s.
Between the sets will be performances by one of Canada’s favourite performers, Doo Doo the Clown, and Fire Guy, a fire juggler who uses skateboards, zany humour and fiery tricks to amaze and delight audiences.
Following his set, Doo Doo will head indoors to the DTM Lobby to interact with kids and provide more intimate performances for fans of his unique character.
