Polychromatic Beams

Nick Walker | Bristol, U.K.
First Floor, The Origin (169 Enterprise)
Materials: Paint

Nick Walker is one of the most prominent and celebrated public artists in the United Kingdom. He is credited with introducing stencil art to the streets of his native Bristol in the 1980’s and as the primary influence to renowned stencil artist, Banksy. Walker has worked on many high profile projects, including works for the film industry, most notably Stanley Kubrick’s Eyes Wide Shut (1999) and the Black Eyed Peas’ music video for their 2009 smash hit “I Gotta Feeling”.

He remains one of the world’s most collected stencil artists and is in demand to create major public art works in cities around the globe.

After sold out events in New York and Tokyo, Walker traveled to Canada to hand-paint Polychromatic Beams at The Origin in Downtown Markham. In addition to Polychromatic Beams, a photographic rendering of another of his works can be found in the gallery’s underground parking garage street art exhibit.
