Shelley M. Shier was born in Toronto and is based in New York City. She specializes in fine art and entertainment and works in conjunction with Broadway Bound, a company she founded in 1998.
Shier studied acting with the legendary Stella Adler for four years in the late 1970s and graduated from the Conservatory of Acting at City Center in New York City. Between 1983 and 2009, she produced hundreds of musical and theatrical productions around the world, working with the most celebrated performers of the day.
In the mid-2000s, Shier began to create events that would combine fine art and entertainment. She has worked closely with a number of visual artists and has been instrumental in arranging exhibitions in New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Toronto, Paris, Milan, Oslo, Moscow, Cannes, and Philadelphia.
When not producing large-scale music and art events, Shier devotes her time to charitable causes, including special events for Save The Children, Tomorrow’s Children and The Jazz Foundation of America. Shier is also a member of Women In Music, The Blues Foundation, and The National Alliance of Musical Theater.
